Specialist Psychological Therapy for Trauma in Newton Abbot ~ Devon & Online
“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”
- Carl Jung
It can feel difficult to know how to move forward when you’ve experienced challenges in life. Sometimes it’s hard to know how to put the things that have happened in their rightful place, leaving you feeling stuck, isolated and unsure of what to do next.
I specialise in supporting people through all kinds of trauma, whether from a single event or ongoing, complex experiences. I have specific expertise in working with survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and those seeking perinatal counselling. Whether you're facing antenatal anxiety, birth trauma, or adjusting to the challenges of being a new parent, I'm here to support you.
Your wellbeing is in good hands
Trauma can leave you feeling lost and overwhelmed, but you don’t have to face it alone—I’m here to help. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back and create a practical plan to move forward. With new tools and strategies, we’ll work on getting you unstuck and on the path to living the life you want.
I know how important it is to find a therapist that fits. That’s why I offer a complementary 15-minute telephone call so that we can get to know each other a little and give you an opportunity to ask me any questions or talk about concerns you have about beginning therapy.
Understand your journey, find peace of mind and move forward with confidence.
I understand how important it is to have a safe space to heal after difficult experiences. Whether you're dealing with flashbacks, anxiety, antenatal problems, birth trauma, or the grief of pregnancy or infant loss, it can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with bonding with your baby, reflecting on your own childhood, or coping with the effects of domestic abuse or sexual assault. In therapy with me, you'll find a supportive environment to negotiate these challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you.
How can I help?
Where there's trauma, there’s usually grief and loss. In therapy with me, we’ll work together to make sense of your feelings and experiences, helping you find a path forward. With many years of experience supporting people through trauma, perinatal challenges, and abuse, I understand what you're going through. Specialist therapies, such as EMDR, can help you gently process distressing memories. While we can’t change what has happened, we can change how it affects you, allowing you to create a future that feels more peaceful and connected, rather than being stuck in the past.
